Services I Offer
A birth doula is a trained professional who provides emotional, physical, and informational support to a birthing person and their support system during pregnancy, childbirth, and the beginning of the postpartum period. I work to help ensure a positive birth experience by providing comfort measures, advocacy, and guidance. I work alongside the medical team to support the birthing person’s wishes and needs.
Birth Doula Support
A postpartum doula provides support to birthing persons, new parents, and their infants after childbirth. I offer emotional and practical assistance, helping to ease the transition into parenthood or recovery from birth. I provide guidance on chest and bottle feeding, sleep, and newborn care. I offer to do light housework, laundry, or errands to keep the birthing person focused on their recovery. To get the new parents some sleep, I provide an overnight shift where I wake up and care for the baby during the nighttime.
Postpartum Doula Support
A fertility, adoption, and surrogacy support doula is a trained professional who provides emotional, physical, and informational support to individuals and couples who are trying to conceive or grow their family through adoption or surrogacy or choosing to put their child up for adoption.
I offer guidance and support through assisted reproduction’s complex and emotional journey, including fertility treatments, adoption processes, and surrogacy arrangements. My priority is helping my clients navigate these medical and legal processes while providing a compassionate and non-judgmental presence throughout.
Adoption/Surrogacy Birth & Postpartum Doula Support
A birth and postpartum educator is a trained professional who provides education and guidance to birthing persons and their support system during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.
In my birth-specific class, I work to ensure that the birthing person and their chosen support are informed and prepared for the birth experience and the transition into the fourth trimester. In the postpartum class, I cover practical skills, mental and physical health for the birthing person, infant, and support system.
Birth & Postpartum Educator
Beginning during my client’s pregnancy, I offer myself date night sitting to ensure the parent(s) can have time to themselves away from existing children or pets if needed. After the baby arrives, I offer my services for sitting until the baby is three years old! Date nights are typically scheduled monthly or bi-monthly, depending on my caseload at the time.
